Are you in charge of all those seedlings? If so, how do you sleep at night. And what is to happen to them all? Whatever, I do trust that they grow, grow, grow, and BLOSSOM!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7819339714517602768.post-16542342693077257702010-03-03T03:16:48.112-08:002010-03-03T03:16:48.112-08:00I remember many years ago I went to a reed bed som...I remember many years ago I went to a reed bed somewhere in Norfolk. I was in a team of people doing some coppicing nearby. I took along a bottle of decent vodka, and we went and sat by the water as the sun set.

Just as the last red in the sky was fading, a flock of swans flew over. I'll never forget that sound; it was surreal, alien to my ear, but also hypnotically majestic.

It's a hard sound to describe, but I found it humbling. It serves to remind you that in the grand scheme of things, you're not as big a deal as you think you are!

I'm envious, I haven't heard it again since that day!The Idiothttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18345021580985320660noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7819339714517602768.post-614497245774638422010-03-02T02:58:03.400-08:002010-03-02T02:58:03.400-08:00Hi Izzy, there is something so magical about the m...Hi Izzy, there is something so magical about the moon isn't there, and I adore swans. I must go dig out some pics now. Certainly not the case in either London or Budapest.

The swans flying across the sky must have been a wonderful - and also rare - sight.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
